IML scientific publication in the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy
The Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy published "Laser-assisted lipolysis for knee remodelling: A prospective study in 30 patients", a scientific study by IML.
Integral remodelling of knees has traditionally been an area of difficult access with conventional liposuction, its treatment often being contraindicated due to the poor results obtained to date.
However, the remodelling of the integral fatty accumulations of the knee, both in its anterior side as well as the internal and external, is obtained thanks to a refined technique assisted by laser (laser lipolysis), through the handling of the ductile fibre that conveys the emission energy at 924 and 975 Nm, providing highly satisfactory results, with very high rates of correction.
This scientific work was been led by Dr. Javier Moreno Moraga, medical director at Instituto Medico Laser, in which other IML practitioners also collaborated: Dr. Royo de la Torre, Dr. Ignacio Sanz and Dr. Ellen Bravo, as well as the following clinical and research centres:
- Instituto Medico Vilafortuny: Dr. Mario Trelles.
- INSERM U703, Lille (France): Dr. Serge Mordon, Pascal Servell, Nacim Betroundi and Franck Marie Lecler.
- Medical Faculty Mannheim, University of Heidelberg (Germany): Dr. Frank Unglaub.
