Dr. Isarría, speaker at the 21st SELMQ Congress

Dr. María José Isarría and Dr. Irene Cruz participated in the 21st Congress of the Spanish Society of Medical-Surgical Laser (SELMQ), as speaker and assistant, respectively. 

Dr. Isarría, IML dermatologist and expert in treating venous pathology and aesthetics, presented her paper "Aesthetics and clinical approach in treating varicose veins of the legs". The paper aimed to present the treatment of varicose veins of the legs at IML with Photodynamic Varicose Vein Therapy, an international IML patent in collaboration with the Complutense University of Madrid's Multidisciplinary Institute. 

The different types of varicose veins in the legs are approached in one session where 80% of the problem is resolved. An average of two subsequent revisions are required to achieve a fully satisfactory result.
