Facial hair removal in males is ideal for laser epilation. The most frequently treated areas are: lower portion of the beard area, space between the eyebrows, cheeks, and complete beard. Nevertheless, despite being an ideal type of hair for laser treatment, due to the large amount of total existing hairs, more sessions are required than in other regions.
Systems used at IML that achieve optimal results are: Long-pulsed Alexandrite , Diode Light Sheer y Neodymium: YAG (Lyra XP).
Interval between sessions starts at two weeks, followed by four week intervals, every month and a half, and so on successively.
Due to the large amount of hair in the peribucal region and the high sensitivity of the area, it is common for the specialist to apply a local anaesthetic for greater patient comfort.
