Post-radiotherapy tattoo removal at IML
Post-radiotherapy tattoo removal at IML
During radiation therapy, small tattoos are applied on the patient's chest that serve as anatomical references to accurately aim the radiation on the affected area throughout the course of treatment. This pigmentation tends to fade after radiotherapy. However, on occasion they last for a whole lifetime, which can stigmatize patients.
According to Dr. Josefina Royo de la Torre, IML Director, "For a great deal of breast cancer patients who have undergone radiotherapy, removing these black or blue pigmentations can be the final step to full recovery".
IML joins "PicoSure goes Pink", an initiative promoted by Cynosure to raise social awareness that breast cancer is curable and does not have to leave marks.
Therefore, IML wants to provide a complimentary post-radiotherapy tattoo removal treatment to three patients who have overcome breast cancer.
The first three patients attending a free informative consultation with our dermatologists will receive a post-radiotherapy tattoo removal treatment, free of charge.
If you're not in the top three attending a consultation with our dermatologists or have been treated with radiotherapy for other types of cancer, IML offers an exclusive 10% discount on post-radiotherapy tattoo removal treatment.
If you have overcome breast cancer or know a woman who has, request a free informative consultation via the web or call us.
