The IML Dermatology Unit presented Icon 1540, the non-ablative fractional laser approved by the FDA for the treatment of stretch marks.
The event, held on 30 October and organised by Cynosure Spain and IML, was attended by journalists specialised in beauty and Cosmetic Medicine.
Icon 1540 causes damage to the epidermis and dermis, triggering the deposition of new collagen and restructuring the existing collagen. Heat penetrates the skin in an array of high precision micro-columns surrounded by unscathed tissue. The treatment requires no anaesthesia and the patient can resume normal activity immediately.
