This is a material in the form of a thread as thin as a hair which has been used successfully for years in reconstructive surgery. They have been used for over seven years in the USA for the correction of tissue flaccidity and sagging in the face and neck. The advantage of these over other subcutaneous threads is that the suture with microscopic cogs placed in helicoidal (spiral) symmetry comes with a tiny hook on one end that can be attached to a fixed structure, thus avoiding the risk of movement.
