Removal of genital warts and lesions

Infections such as HPV (human papillomavirus) or other types of disorders can result in genital warts or lesions, which are unsightly to patients and cause alterations in their sex life and self esteem.

Removal of these lesions can de performed using two techniques:

  • Laser: The lesions can be vaporised with laser, a procedure that removes them with excellent results and no visible scars.
  • Excision: Removes lesions form the lower genital region.

What type of warts and lesions can be treated on the external genitalia, vagina or uterine cervix?

Treatment on the uterine cervix can resolve:

  • Ectopia or ulcers.
  • Condylomas.
  • Papillomas.
  • Leukoplakia.
  • Intraepithelial neoplasia.

In the vagina, the following can be addressed:

  • Source of endometriosis.
  • Granulation tissue.
  • Intraepithelial neoplasia.

The following lesions con be treated in the vulvar region:

  • Dystrophic lesions.
  • Bartholin's cysts.
  • Intraepithelial neoplasias.
