IML join the "PicoSure goes pink" initiative
IML joins "PicoSure goes pink", an initiative promoted by Cynosure to help breast cancer patients treated with radiation therapy to erase memories of the past.
During radiation treatment, a small blue or black tattoo is applied on the skin to accurately aim the radiation on the affected area. These tattoos are permanent in most cases. "Removing these post-treatment tattoos can be the final step to full recovery for many patients", according to Dr. Josefina Royo de la Torre, IML Director.
Laser is the most effective and gentle on the skin treatment for tattoo removal. IML has the whole range of laser equipment at their disposal for the removal of these pigmentations: Q-switched Alexandrite Laser and PicoSure® picosecond laser. Therefore, IML will provide a complimentary post-radiotherapy tattoo removal treatment to three breast cancer patients. In addition, we're offering radiotherapy patients with a 10% discount on post-radiotherapy tattoo removal.
