Burn scars, new IML subspeciality

The IML Dermatology Unit has created the Burn Scars Chapter, a new subspecialty aimed at researching the peculiarities of special treatment of such skin lesions, in order to provide more optimized solutions.

Continuous updating of the IML laser platform allows for the study of the evolution of the after-effects of burns through equipment such as fractionated ablative CO₂ laser, an advanced system for collagen remodelling. The research of our dermatologists has shown that transepidermal administration of certain active principles is helping in the aesthetic improvement of burn scars.

The Instituto Medico Laser Burn Scars Chapter has treated over 100 patients from all over Spain with a high rate of satisfaction rate.
